چکیده

Nanocomposites of SmFeO3/YFeO3 (1:0, 0.8:0.2, 0.6:0.4, 0.4:0.6, 0.2:0.8, and 0:1) with different molar proportions were prepared by the sol–gel method. The material’s properties characterized various test methods, such as scanning-electron microscopy (SEM) X-ray photoelectron-diffraction spectrometry (XPS). gas-sensing characteristics sensor tested in darkness under illumination using monochromatic light selected wavelengths. results show that ratio 0.4:0.6 had highest gas response to volatile organic compound (VOC) gases optimum operating temperature was lower (120 °C). improved sensor’s sensitivity gas. Under 370-nanometer illumination, responses 30 ppm ethanol, acetone, methanol 163.59, 134.02, 111.637, respectively, which 1.35, 1.28, 1.59 times higher, than those without light. high mainly due adsorption oxygen on surface formation a p–p heterojunction. sensor, can respond VOC gases, be used detect safety unknown environments provide timely warning presence dangerous working environments.

Colorimetric sensor arrays for volatile organic compounds.

The development of a low-cost, sensitive colorimetric sensor array for the detection and identification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is reported. Using an array composed of chemoresponsive dyes, enormous discriminatory power is possible in a simple device that can be imaged easily with an ordinary flatbed scanner. Excellent differentiation of closely related organic compounds can be ach...

Response Characterization of a Fiber Optic Sensor Array with Dye-Coated Planar Waveguide for Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds

We have developed a multi-array side-polished optical-fiber gas sensor for the detection of volatile organic compound (VOC) gases. The side-polished optical-fiber coupled with a polymer planar waveguide (PWG) provides high sensitivity to alterations in refractive index. The PWG was fabricated by coating a solvatochromic dye with poly(vinylpyrrolidone). To confirm the effectiveness of the sensor...

A microfabricated optofluidic ring resonator for sensitive, high-speed detection of volatile organic compounds.

Advances in microanalytical systems for multi-vapor determinations to date have been impeded by limitations associated with the microsensor technologies employed. Here we introduce a microfabricated optofluidic ring resonator (μOFRR) sensor that addresses many of these limitations. The μOFRR combines vapor sensing and fluidic transport functions in a monolithic microstructure comprising a hollo...

Development of the colorimetric sensor array for detection of explosives and volatile organic compounds in air

In the framework of the research project ‘Xsense’ at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) we are developing a simple colorimetric sensor array which can be useful in detection of explosives like DNT and TNT, and identification of volatile organic compounds in the presence of water vapor in air. The technology is based on an array of chemo-responsive dyes immobilized on a solid support. Upo...

Urinary Volatile Organic Compounds for the Detection of Prostate Cancer

The aim of this work was to investigate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emanating from urine samples to determine whether they can be used to classify samples into those from prostate cancer and non-cancer groups. Participants were men referred for a trans-rectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy because of an elevated prostate specific antigen (PSA) level or abnormal findings on digital rect...
